By grace one is saved through faith (Eph 2:8-9). We that believe are brought into the "commonwealth of Israel" and its covenant promises, both good ones and bad ones (Eph. 2:11-17), bringing Jews and Gentiles into one family. Your works of the law can't earn salvation apart from faith in Christ, because we all have sinned. But works after salvation are ordained by God that we should walk in. I thank the Lord for His payment for sin and that He even offers us the way of life, the gate, the narrow path, the door, and Zion. Therefore enter as He prescribes! Strive to enter in at the narrow gate because Jesus said that many will seek to enter in, and shall not be able (Luke 13:24). Add to your faith: virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and charity; and if you do, and they abound, you shall never fail of salvation. (2 Peter 1:1-10) This is a promise of God, so hearken unto Him, grabbing hold of the tree of life (His Torah as per Proverbs 3:18-23) and follow after His just as He walked. Remember, faith doesn't make void the Torah, God forbid, faith establishes the Torah (Romans 3:31) as our hearts are circumcised and we are no longer carnal, defined as being at enmity with the Torah (Romans 8:6-9). Why would we ever want to put away the Torah when it is where we find instructions in righteousness (2 Tim 3:15-19)? Rather His commands are to be no more grievious to us (1 John 5:3) that want to obey in love towards our Messiah. e-mail us at MinisterWYA@aol.com Then said he to his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest. Matthew 9:37-38 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace: Ephesians 6:15 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn theirs ears from the truth, and shall be turned to fables. But watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry. 2 Timothy 4:2-5 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise. Proverbs 11:30 A true witness delivers souls, But a deceitful witness speaks lies. Proverbs 14:25 Grace is not a license to loaf; but the power to perform! (author unknown) |
